ARTIST STATEMENT

To reflect cultural absurdity, I employ sculpture as a conceptual mirror. My work is a tool activated to antagonize thought and provoke conversation. The use of interaction is an integral components of the work which allow the viewer to engage on a more intimate level. My content is frequently grounded in politics, pop culture, iconography , and sarcasm. I am constantly adding new tools to my repertoire. I frequently use wood, plexiglass, vinyl, copper, glass and time-based technology. To broaden the scope of my work I have enlisted the help of micro-processing devices and computer numerated control. Technology is an important part of my process and product as it relates to contemporary American life and its trappings.
